Traveling, getting to know new places, and enjoying breathtaking landscapes are things that most of us like. However, tourism has caused significant damage (directly and indirectly) to nature. According to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), tourism accounts for 8% of global energy consumption. Tourism infrastructure accounts for 20%, and tourism activities account for 5 per cent. According to the UN, global water and energy consumption has more than doubled in the last 50 years. It is estimated that by 2050, global demand for water could increase by 80% and energy could increase by 50% due to population growth, climate change and economic development.
In Colombia, water pollution is a major problem in tourist destinations. According to the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, 70% of Colombia's rivers and lakes are contaminated. In Colombia, more attention must be paid to the lack of knowledge about sustainability on the part of tourists, in the words of Mrs. Helena Encizar "The Colombian is not yet in context or does not give much value to a sustainable hotel, for this reason it still does not provide the expected benefits."
Although the tourism sector contributes 10% of the world's GDP, the reality is that it also has a detrimental effect on the environment.

People with hearing impairment face challenges in communication, education, social participation among several factors in their daily lives, the lack of access to information and support tools for this disability has a significant impact on their quality of life. According to the Ministry of Health of Colombia, the morbidity of ear diseases, hearing and communication disorders have a strong relationship with the unfavorable socioeconomic position and low educational level. The World Health Organization reveals that more than 1.5 billion people worldwide have some degree of hearing loss.
Hearing impairment can affect people of all ages, from birth to old age, generating difficulties in daily communication, such as conversations, phone calls and social activities, which can lead to isolation. With technological advances, different mechanisms have been created that seek to improve the quality of life of those who face this condition. The main tool is hearing aids, however, they do not apply to all levels of hearing loss and have a high cost in the market, which generates inequality. Awareness and inclusion are essential to build a more understanding and accessible society, this is why the company decided to design the Sonata device to improve the welfare of economically disadvantaged people.

"The World Health Organization (WHO) "warns in its February 2023 report that more than 5% of the world's population (430 million people) suffer from disabling hearing loss and require rehabilitation (432 million adults and 34 million children)". It is estimated that by 2050 that figure will exceed 700 million (one in ten people).
According to Colombia's Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, as of May 2023, the main source of noise pollution in the country is associated with vehicular traffic. Noise maps indicate that between 15% and 40% of the population is subjected to noise levels above 65 dB from vehicular traffic.
For this reason, AQSTICA created ECOBORD.
================================================

Due to the period of violence that occurred in Colombia, mainly in 2012, the department of Meta was directly impacted due to the concentration of armed groups such as the FARC and the ELN in that area (Fundación Ideas Para la Paz, 2013). According to the UARIV - Unit for Comprehensive Attention and Reparation to Victims - from 1985 to 2016 in the department of Meta, 210,564 people were victims of forced displacement. Likewise some towns like Vista Hermosa, La Macarena and Lejanías have a high probability of reintegration and Granada, Mesetas and La Uribe have a very high probability.
This is why the main problem that is addressed with this venture focusing on ecological tourism is that the people who were part of the episodes of violence are not guaranteed equal conditions to get a job that allows them to live and start again after their experience of violence, either because they were perpetrators or victims of said conflict.
“I'm living my dream, and I didn't know it was,” we refer to a guide from “Zaffari Meta Colombia” whose passion can be seen in his eyes, and he doesn't waste time to share the wonders he has managed to discover thanks to working with them and the way it has changed his perspective on life.
==============================================
