Excedentes Industriales son mi Negocio - Industrial Surplus is my Business

Currently, “In Colombia, about 12 million tons of garbage are generated per year, of which an average of 17% is recycled. In Bogotá, 6,300 tons of garbage are produced per day, and only between 14% and 15% are reused. In the country, in addition, 24 kilos of plastic are consumed per person per year, and of that figure, 56% is for single-use, that is, straws, cutlery, plates, lids, and containers, among other utensils” (Portafolio Magazine, 2018). Due to this pressing situation, the ServiTransIndustriales company decided to help by contributing to the proper management of industrial waste. Mr. Rodríguez explains that "every day new materials are generated in the production and distribution of products worldwide, and this is what makes new ideas and developments have to be created to process, transform and reuse them," he said. This aspect became the engine of innovation because these new materials imply a technological challenge in the development of new recycling and reuse processes.
