For shower models, this specifically targets increasing the WELS star rating - moving from 3-star to 4-star models - whilst utilizing Reece’s extensive research and development process to ensure that this does not compromise the user experience.
Rather than the more complex and time-consuming termites barriers of the past, the termite barrier is integrated within an expansion joint foam, to simplify the installation of termite barriers. The product has also been found to be repellent to other insects such as ants and cockroaches. People are encouraged and trained to develop their own farms, such as vegetables and fruits in their backyard using the recycled materials. They can consume the vegetables and fruits after harvesting or they can start selling it, turning the farm into a small business. Along with the covid-19 pandemic, many people were impacted by this condition, some people lose their jobs and struggle financially. The owner saw this as a new opportunity to grow her business, and at the same time doing good for society.
Kito Rato is a coffee shop run by Kita Setara Foundation based on solopreneurship. It’s a study case of implementing Good Corporate Governance, that company policies can take part in the society by nurturing the disables to become independent and encourage them to become an entrepreneur. The target is young adult disabled who tend to have a lack of competencies, both pieces of knowledge and skills. The challenges are that most, proper education is a rare thing to achieve for the disabled, yet the opportunity to get an education is less than the commoners. For that reason, many of them got rejected in work life because of not only the limitation of their body function but the thought of them are less educated and less experienced. Through Kito Rato, the disabled are given the opportunity to study business, equipped them with the necessary skills and competencies, also gain some experience. Adding value to its product, Kita Setara creates another supporting programs to its core and also providing facilities such as classrooms and libraries.
