According to the page of SIAP (Agri-Food and Fisheries Information Services) and INEGI in 2018, agriculture is the largest production factory, but unfortunately, it is also the least supervised because it generates more than 22% carbon dioxide and requires more than 70% of water available for human consumption, and despite all that, more than 40% of production is lost due to pests, diseases or bad agricultural practices and this is precisely because it has traditional farming methods, poor risk management or the zero use of data in the field.
EARTH-IoT is a proudly Mexican startup established in the state of Puebla, which is growing, and which seeks to improve the lives of more than 9 million families that are dedicated to agriculture in Mexico by providing producers with digital tools that through IoT and data analysis, the adaptation time in harvests are reduced, achieving greater control, savings and better quality in production.
EARTH is made up of a multidisciplinary work team that has lived closely with the needs and problems of crops, in fact, because each of the members has a close relationship with the field, this project was born.
Productivity is a good indicator of soil conditions, as it directly reflects changes in soil quality and limitations. The main objective of soil management in agriculture is to create favorable conditions for crop growth, seed germination, emergence, root growth, plant development, grain growth, and harvest. Sustainable production goes hand in hand with good management practices.

According to PETA LATINO, thousands of cows and other animals are cruelly killed for their skin, for which they suffer the horrors of factory farms, within which we find crowding and extreme deficiencies, as well as castration, marking, tail and horn docking without analgesics. In slaughterhouses, animals routinely have their necks cut, and are sometimes skinned and dismembered, while still conscious. Buying leather directly helps finance factory farms and slaughterhouses because leather is the most economically important byproduct of the meat industry. Leather is also not environmentally friendly because it shares responsibility for all the environmental destruction caused by the meat industry, as well as the pollution caused by toxins used in tanning.
For every pair of leather shoes purchased, an animal is sentenced to a life of suffering.Vermelo is a company that creates handmade shoes and accessories in Mexico. The products are 100% vegan, no animals are harmed, and their production chain effectively uses vegan leathers, both synthetic and ecological, and high-quality biodegradable textiles. Their promise is to break paradigms by challenging the conditions of those who told them it was impossible, create products that do not compromise the sustainability of our planet and thus offer the possibility of a better choice. Because the reality of our daily decisions has an impact on the world and the community.
The CEO of Vermelo, Helena believes that through small decisions, substantial changes can be generated that commit people to conscious consumption.By thinking circularly, what has been taken from it can be returned to the earth. Reintegrating or taking the waste of other industries can be a raw material for the company's use. Helena told us the stories that people want to tell through change are the main source of inspiration for their products and their decisions define what they expect from reality in their company.

Distinguishing itself from most spice merchants and export companies in Viet Nam, Vina Samex pioneered the innovation of changing the business model. The company no longer purely plays the role of a trader but became the very first developer of an organic value chain for Vietnamese cinnamon and star anise associated with community development. The innovation is transforming the way the business traditionally operated into a more sustainable pathway, bringing higher prices and commendable respect towards Vietnam’s cinnamon and star anise as well as the opportunities to access sustainable livelihoods for raw material growers who mostly are poor ethnic minorities and female. The business believes that it is contributing to addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals of no poverty, zero hunger, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, responsible consumption and production, and climate action.
Determined to be ethical from the ‘get-go’, the sourcing of Fairtrade and organic ingredients was an essential starting point for Karma Drinks first product, Karma Cola. It was fundamental that a sustainable and equitable trading relationship existed between Karma Drinks and their potential suppliers, the ingredients needed to be as good as possible for the planet and the consumer. Yet, it was during the search for compatible suppliers that the company’s real innovation unfolded. Chris Morrison stated, “We discovered most colas in the world don't contain any cola nuts, so the growers of the nuts are getting nothing from their namesake, so we ended up in Sierra Leone, where there are villages that survive round the production, of cola nuts.” It soon became obvious to the founders that just paying a fair price for the cola nut would not sufficiently support the war-torn survivors of the 10-year civil war, where 60% of the population earns less than US$1.25 per day (The Karma Cola Foundation Report). Thus, The Karma Foundation was created with 1% of all sales going back to the villages that grow the cola nuts.

Today the renewable resources of our planet are limited to the geographical conditions of each country, where each has a great concentration of energy in different ways, among the most common solar energy, but limits the number of hours of the production day, that is why by analyzing well the environment in general, you can have different ways of generating electricity.
In the case of Colombia diversity is extraordinary for power generation, the most important being with 80% of the hydraulic generation through large power plants, since water resources and topography are perfect for this scenario, but it works in centralized systems through the SIN (National Interconnected System). There is currently an opportunity for rurally located sites that have water resources and require electricity; so from the projection and perspective of Global Engineering Design, they see the opportunity to work with the "Pico Centrales Eléctricas" (Small Power Generators), which are an important source of energy to meet the need for these areas.

The Colombian countryside has been the indisputable axis of the country's development. However, its relative backwardness in social and economic matters shows the biases that rural development has had. The countryside has also been the main scenario of a long armed conflict.

They have made incursions into the production of pulverized and flavored sugar cane, products that were only produced by large industries, demonstrating to small and medium-sized companies that if it is possible to elaborate different products that intensify the production of sugar cane, "...many things can be done with a basic product such as panela..." Guillen, H, personal interview, July 30, 2020, encouraging land production, improving the quality of life of rural families dedicated to the cultivation of sugar cane, using techniques such as fair pricing and encouraging a culture of entrepreneurship.
Panela - concentrated sugar cane juice - is a traditional food in many Latin American and Caribbean countries. It is obtained from the juice of the sugar cane and is considered more valuable than sugar from a nutritional point of view, for its high concentration of sugars and its contribution of minerals, fats, protein compounds, and traces of vitamins.

This tropical reservoir considered “the world's lung” is home to biodiversity and ancient wealth. This is threatened, according to professor Lovejoy, who in his article, "Turning Point", speaks of a warming of 4 degrees and deforestation of 40%.
The enormous wealth of this ecosystem has been put at risk, and that is why the purpose of the Amazonian World Ecological Park initiative is focused on the forest floor’s recovery, eroded due to livestock and the planting.
This family start-up began in 2006 recovering timber trees and fruit trees and medicinal plants of the Amazonia. This reforestation initiative evolved over time to include the collection of living plants. In 2009 the company brought the opening of economic tools of sustainability to the process of conservation which includes strategies of ecotourism, founded on bio commerce principles, green business and nature tourism.

Mr. Indra Citra Bathara (also known as ICB) together with his colleague who worked for 20 years in urban areas were thinking about building a business in rural areas. Mr. Indra really likes the rural environment, along with his experience in the field of agriculture and offices.
The thing that has become a concern for building this business is how to build a business that can improve the rural's area economy, along with the development of the people and the environment and nature around it.
