On August 15th, 2019 the owner of Eat Raja, India's first 0 waste juice bar, gave freedom to the people of Bengaluru from having to use plastic utensils and paper cups. The whole concept of Eat Raja is to ensure that there is complete usage of a fruit and its by-products. They follow the policy of "drink the juice, eat the fruit" and they also have unique initiatives such as "Cigarette juice", where a person gets a free juice of their choice if they throw away a cigarette in a bin placed in front of the shop. And they make optimal utilization of even small that is generated by using it to feed animals and preparing natural soaps and jams by drying the skins of the fruits and mixing them with pulps of fruits. This initiative ensures that there is no generation of waste from the shop or from the customers who visit the shop to consume the juice. This way they are leading the change to make a difference in society by not generating waste and promoting a cleaner environment and helping the community to work towards making their surroundings free of waste.

Bee Joyful offers an array of products that are eco-friendly and healthier for human use. Many products consumed and used every day have harmful chemicals and plastics that have been traced to cancer causing agents. The products created and curated by shop owner Jessica Thompson brings a holistic approach to shopping that is environmentally friendly.
Although this is not an entirely new store model as there have been similar ideas in Europe, it is a very new concept to the United States. Thompson has noticed an increase in similar stores opening showing the increased popularity of these “zero-waste” stores.
With this popularity, Thompson has utilized social media as a tool to bring awareness to this innovative store idea. She uses platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to answer questions and increase her reach to new audiences. TikTok in particular has appealed to a younger demographic of people who want to change the world and has allowed Thompson to be silly and engaging.

Wild Tiger Tees doesn’t find its innovation in its products - screen printed tee shirts and mugs are not revolutionizing the merchandise industry. Adam discussed how he had witnessed many stories of young homeless people who had trouble integrating into a working environment. For the most part, the struggles largely came from an inability to communicate issues and take pride in their work.

This systems-thinking approach engages three of the SDGs: Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7), Life on Land (SDG 15), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).

Over the years human practices caused severe negative consequences to the ecosystem leaving behind a destroyed planet that the future generation will struggle with and can not benefit from its resources. Human production of non-biodegradable wastes results in the destruction of the water sources and soil, water and land pollution, climate change, and an imbalanced ecosystem. Alexsandra Madzarevic, the owner of Beba Canada pulled the reverse card and introduced eco-friendly and biodegradable baby products to the market with the hope to reduce the pressure from the ecosystem and protect the planet and enhance health and well-being.
Copper Branch is a rapidly growing international food chain that focuses exclusively on plant-based items. Each location offers a similar menu, made almost entirely out of ingredients from sources local to each specific franchise. Copper Branch is unique from other fast-food chains in this regard; the focus is on environmentally friendly, plant-based food that is healthy, whilst remaining affordable and accessible to consumers. This is a sorely needed deviation from the typical fast-food blueprint, and leaves consumers and the environment in which they live in better off than their competitors do.
