The use of titanium dioxide (TiO2) based coatings have come as a welcome relief to the massive world problem of air pollution. This innovation is based on the simple naturally occurring process of photocatalysis. This process occurs when light is used to speed up a chemical reaction called photolysis and results in the quick degeneration or conversion of nitrogen oxides into harmless soluble nitrate salts that can be washed off from buildings’ surfaces whenever rainfalls.

This project is about helping schools in rural entities, by giving them a technological solution to help them with their education.
It consists in the installation of a system that may measure the progress of the children and the teachers. Telefonica not only installs the system, but also trains the school members so they know how to use it and be benefited by it. This project seeks to digitally include children and teachers.
This project tries to customize the processes of education in environments that are very vulnerable and that have social deficiencies. It tries to involve the teacher and children in an efficient teaching process.
The system keeps daily records of classroom chores and children's progresses, this way the teachers can evaluate if someone needs more help in any subject or if someone has any troubles. This follow-up methodology helps to know the progress of a group in a basic education classroom in Mexico.

“If you have a strong purpose in life, you don't have to be pushed. Your passion will drive you there” [1]. Tom Denbow is nothing if not passionate. From the moment we began talking on October 29th, 2019, one thing was apparent in every sentence he spoke: Tom loves his job. He’s spent his entire life working on Great Lakes issues, going as far as doing national policy work at times and often serving on state committees and councils. A native to Ashland, Ohio, and a biology graduate of Bowling Green State University (BGSU), the importance of these waters to his life is no mystery. While at BGSU, Tom was a co-chair of the first ever Earth Day teach-in. Immediately after graduation, he went to work for the Ohio Department of Transportation as the first biologist hired to work with the entire workforce and community. He describes this as his worst and best ever job; it taught him exactly what he wanted and didn’t want to be doing. From there he was picked up by an architectural engineering firm to plan environmental systems, and after a few other stops and plenty of other change-implementing roles, Tom ended up at Biohabitats in 2013.

Terra Refill's innovation mainly focuses on the way its products are packaged and sold. They implemented the idea of having a “Zero waste” store, which basically means not producing garbage, mainly from the sale of their products. This concept is something that has already been implemented in countries such as the United States and amongst many in Europe, but here in Mexico it is part of a completely new market.
The way they handle the sale of products is to offer clients the products packaged in a reusable container such as glass jars or cloth bags. This, with the aim that when people go to buy the products they carry with them the reusable containers and that way the use of single-use wrappers will be eliminated.
