Summary

Founded by Ali İhsan ÇETİN, AvukatApp (AdvocateApp) is a platform that connects lawyers across different cities in Türkiye. The platform allows lawyers to delegate legal tasks, collaborate with colleagues, share professional knowledge, and access legal decisions through a single digital ecosystem. By reducing the need for unnecessary travel and improving legal cooperation, AvukatApp makes legal services more efficient and accessible.

Innovation

AvukatApp’s innovation lies in transforming informal and fragmented legal collaboration into a structured digital ecosystem.

Traditionally, lawyers often rely on WhatsApp groups, phone calls, personal networks, or last-minute referrals to find colleagues for legal tasks in other cities. This process can be slow, uncertain, and unequal. AvukatApp replaces this fragmented structure with a platform-based model where legal tasks can be created, viewed, accepted, and managed through a more transparent system.

The Tevkil version allows lawyers to delegate courthouse-based tasks to other lawyers, especially when physical presence is required in another city. This is the core function that directly reduces unnecessary intercity mobility.

The Community version strengthens professional solidarity. Lawyers can ask questions, share practical experience, discuss legal issues, and support one another. This is especially valuable for young lawyers, lawyers working outside major metropolitan areas, and lawyers who do not yet have a wide professional network.

The Legal Decision Search version improves access to legal knowledge. By helping lawyers search and examine legal decisions more efficiently, AvukatApp reduces the time spent on scattered and repetitive legal research.

Together, these three versions create a single LegalTech ecosystem: one platform for legal task delegation, professional interaction, and legal knowledge access.

AvukatApp

Inspiration

The inspiration behind AvukatApp comes from a very practical problem in the legal profession: legal work is not limited to one city, but lawyers cannot always be physically present everywhere.

A lawyer in Ankara may need someone to attend a hearing in İzmir. A lawyer in İstanbul may need an enforcement office follow-up in Konya. A lawyer in Bursa may need a colleague in Gaziantep for a procedural task. In many cases, the task itself may be relatively simple, but the distance creates a serious operational burden.

Without a reliable digital platform, lawyers may either travel themselves or search informally for someone through personal contacts. This creates unnecessary time loss, travel expenses, stress, and carbon emissions.

AvukatApp was built around a simple question:

If there is already a qualified local lawyer near the courthouse, why should another lawyer travel hundreds of kilometers for the same task?

This question turns AvukatApp from a basic legal marketplace into a mission-driven platform. It supports lawyers professionally while also reducing unnecessary physical mobility in the legal sector.

Overall impact

AvukatApp creates impact in three connected areas: professional efficiency, access to legal collaboration, and environmental sustainability.

Professionally, AvukatApp saves lawyers time. Instead of managing legal delegation manually through calls and messages, lawyers can use a digital platform designed specifically for their workflow. This allows them to focus more on case preparation, client communication, and legal strategy.

Socially, AvukatApp expands access to professional opportunities. More than 2,000 lawyers are already using the platform, and this growing network helps create a more open legal collaboration environment. Young lawyers and lawyers outside large cities can become more visible and access new professional tasks. At the same time, lawyers who need support in another city can find colleagues more easily.

Environmentally, AvukatApp can reduce intercity travel caused by legal tasks. This is especially important because many legal procedures require local physical presence, but not necessarily the physical presence of the original lawyer. By matching the task with a local lawyer, the platform can prevent unnecessary journeys between cities.

For example, if a lawyer avoids a round trip between Ankara and İstanbul, or İstanbul and İzmir, by assigning a local colleague through AvukatApp, this means fewer kilometers travelled and a potential reduction in CO₂ emissions. The exact impact should be measured with real platform data, but the logic is clear: every avoided intercity legal trip creates a possible environmental saving.

This makes AvukatApp a rare example of a LegalTech platform whose impact is not limited to digitalization, but also extends to sustainable professional mobility.

Business benefit

AvukatApp’s business benefit comes from solving a recurring problem in the legal profession. Lawyers do not need delegation, professional support, or legal research only once. These are daily and repeated needs.

As the number of users grows beyond 2,000 lawyers, the platform becomes more valuable for everyone. More lawyers mean wider city coverage, faster task matching, stronger community interaction, and richer legal knowledge exchange. This creates a network effect: each new lawyer increases the usefulness of the platform for the rest of the legal community.

The Tevkil version creates immediate practical value because it helps lawyers complete courthouse-related tasks more efficiently. The Community version increases engagement and trust among users. The Legal Decision Search version adds knowledge-based value and makes the platform part of lawyers’ daily research routine.

This combination gives AvukatApp a scalable business model. It is not only a tool for one legal transaction; it is a digital professional ecosystem that can grow with the legal sector’s needs.

The environmental dimension also strengthens the business case. AvukatApp can position itself as a platform that saves time, reduces costs, improves collaboration, and supports lower-carbon legal service delivery. This can make the platform more attractive for lawyers, bar associations, institutional partners, sustainability-focused stakeholders, and public innovation programs.

Social and environmental benefit

Socially, AvukatApp supports a more connected and inclusive legal profession. It helps lawyers reach professional opportunities beyond their immediate personal network. This is particularly important for young lawyers, lawyers in smaller cities, and lawyers who want to participate in a broader legal collaboration system.

The platform also supports access to legal services indirectly. When lawyers can coordinate tasks more efficiently across cities, legal files can be followed more smoothly. A client’s case does not have to be delayed only because the responsible lawyer is physically located in another city.

Environmentally, AvukatApp’s strongest contribution is the reduction of unnecessary intercity travel. Legal work often requires movement between cities, but digital delegation can replace some of this mobility. By enabling local lawyers to handle local tasks, AvukatApp can reduce avoidable travel, fuel consumption, and related CO₂ emissions.

This environmental effect should be presented carefully: AvukatApp should not claim a fixed CO₂ reduction unless it calculates this with real data. However, the platform can credibly state that its model has a measurable potential to reduce emissions by decreasing unnecessary intercity legal travel.
