Walmart México lanzó una campaña que fue todo un éxito en el año 2007, invitando a su público en general a plantar árboles y crear conciencia con una reforestación la cual se siguió celebrando cada año consecutivo, no solamente realizo reforestaciones si no que ayudo a invertir en iniciativas sustentables, es decir cero residuos y así lograron que el 91% de sus tiendas en México utilicen energías renovables, al igual de implementar 771 artículos amigables con el medio ambiente.

En concusión nuestra estrategia de sustentabilidad se guía más por reducir daños en el tema del impacto ambiental de la manera en que esta se opera y sus productos.

desde el año 2007 que comenzó este proyecto, para el año 2015 se habían sembrado la cantidad de 11,000 árboles con ocupación de 10.5 hectáreas con más de 70,000 personas beneficiadas.

Entre los involucrados se encuentran el cuerpo de dirección de la empresa Wal-Mart, al igual que otras personas de afuera y voluntarios.

Fue un cambio muy bueno y alentó a otras empresas a hacer lo mismo y crear conciencia, la empresa se ve beneficiada principalmente en la optimización en la comercialización de varios productos que la empresa maneja, lo que ayuda a reducir gastos como lo son; gastos y tiempos, y se mejoran las herramientas y condiciones de empleados y accionistas.

Beneficia de muchas maneras, no solamente estamos hablando de la ecología estamos hablando de crear conciencia en millones de mexicanos, tan solo en el año 2015 se había logrado la meta de los 11,000 arboles con una ocupación de 10.5 hectáreas y lo mas importante 70,000 personas beneficiadas.
