PT. Arya Watala Capital is the expert and a developer of solar panels which has projects running in Tahuna, Gorontalo and Kapuas. Having set the regulation No 3051k/30/MEM/2015, the government of Indonesia is inviting investors and developers to invest in infrastructure programs on the island of Sumba and as part of this Arya Watala Capital has chosen Waikabuba village for their hybrid power plant project. This innovation is based on repairing the low quality grid by installing the 'high inverter technology'. Arya Watala Capital has a strong research and Development team which created this Hybrid solution system called L COE or Levelize Cost of Energy. By using this hybrid solution, the company increases the levels of electricity availability in the village simultaneously lowering the its production cost: -the Hybrid solution electricity production cost is Rp. 2000/kwh while the electricity production cost of s Diesel power plant is Rp. 3000/kwh. Arya Watala Capital was the fist company to install such technology in Indonesia.
The village of Waikabubak is difficult to reach and has very low levels of available electricity. Those 2 facts have driven PT. Arya Watala Capital to invest their money in hybrid power plant (Solar Panel) in this area.
They have designed a hybrid system technology which is cheaper to install and run if compared to traditional Diesel solutions.
By providing and making electricity available village-wide this power plant increases the community's well-being and economic productivity, for example, by increasing the levels of literacy in the village.
Waikabubak village has a population around 32.0000 people and 2 % of them are unemployed. The hybrid power plant project is predicted to have a positive impact on social, economic and cultural life of the village. This project will supports the village economy by creating jobs for locals in agriculture, foresting , hunting and fishing industries as all these sectors demand a stable electricity supply.
As for the environmental impact, the Hybrid Solar Panel contributes to decreasing air pollution levels and reducing CO2 emissions.
This is the first hybrid power plant to be installed in Indonesia by PT Arya Watala Capital and the company sells this electricity to PLN (the state electricity company) with a cheaper price than Diesel. PLN in turn sells this electricity to the Waikabubak Community, again with a lower price. As a result, the people of the village pay less for their electricity whilst getting a much more stable and continuous supply. Having better electricity supply also boosts tourism levels in Waikabubak, as more visitors come and stay for longer. One of the best resorts in Indonesia, called by NIHIWATU also greately benefits from PT. Arya Watala Capital's plant and if NIHIWATU Resort is growing then the surrounding area also grows and becomes more prosperous.
Having PT. Arya Watara Capital's plant in the Waikabubak village also brings a positive social change as Arya Watala Capital offers its own educational and training programs such as vocational education in planting knowledge; PAUD and in Public Health.
