Summary

Kyäni is a nutraceutical supplement that was created in 2007 to help promote natural and healthy ingredients within the industry. Kyäni has created the Potato Pak to help feed children and their families around the world.

Innovation

Kyäni's innovation stems from their initial products. Kyäni's Triangle of Health consists of three products: Kyäni Sunrise, Kyäni Sunset, and the Kyäni Nitro family. Kyäni Sunrise is a vitamin and mineral based blend composed of Wild Alaskan Blueberries and other antioxidants; Kyäni Sunset is created with fat-soluble nutrients and omega-3s from Wild Alaskan Salmon; and the Kyäni Nitro duo is a blend of Noni and Nitric Oxide. Each product has a goal to help individuals nutritionally. Keeping this in mind, Kyäni wanted to do more than just help those who can afford to purchase such products. Hence, the Potato Pak was created to help provide nutrients to those in need. By infusing regular potatoes with formulas created from Kyäni's product lines, people who once could not afford nutrients to live life now can.

The Power of Kyäni

Inspiration

With help from Red Cross, Kyäni has been able to develop a program called Caring Hands in order to visit underprivileged places and cater to their needs. Caring Hands set up feeding stations for children in Manila in July 2016. As they saw children sneaking food into their clothes from these stations, they knew something had to be done. In response, Kyäni created the Potato Pak. With help from external and internal donors, Kyäni has been able to infuse these potatoes with their own proteins, vitamins, and minerals, and then ship them worldwide where they are needed most. According to Kyäni, their Caring Hands Mission is “to bring hope to children in need by improving access to nutrition, sanitation, and education." Additionally, it also helps that one of the co-founders of Kyäni, Carl Taylor, has his own potato farm. With potatoes already readily available, they were able to test the product various times to make sure it would cater to the cause.

Overall impact

Kyäni is helping to feed individuals in underprivileged places and has shown how great Kyäni truly is as a company. They have taken their pure products and have infused them into their self made Potato Paks. Corporate social responsibility is shown through this because these Potato Paks help those who need them the most. Kyäni has tried to fight back against hunger and malnutrition in third world countries. This positively impacts these countries immensely and provides a positive image for Kyäni.

Business benefit

The Potato Pak is filled with most of the nutrients within Kyäni's Triangle of Health products. The Potato Pak helps those around the world in need of more food and nutrients within their diets. This helps Kyäni show their social responsibility to those not just in their community, but worldwide. With Kyäni steadily growing, more and more Potato Paks will be distributed as well. By showing how dedicated Kyäni is to helping others, they can potentially become more profitable and more well-known as a company. This can allow them to expand their business and donations to further locations across the globe.

Social and environmental benefit

The nutritional value the Potato Pak has within them helps families stay healthy and fed. This will allow more individuals to live longer. Also, the products used in these Potato Paks are all natural and do not harm the person using them or the environment. This is a huge deal because people in third world countries do not normally have the elements to help them stay healthy and safe from contaminated products.
