The National Day of Service is held twice a year on November 6th and June 4th. During the National Day of Service, Ameriprise teams up with Feeding America Food Banks to provide either volunteer services or organize a food drive to provide food for Feeding America Food Banks.

Through the Feeding America Food Banks, Ameriprise is able to help fight against hunger nationwide. By having the option to either organize a food drive or provide volunteer services, Ameriprise is able to provide whichever services are most needed by the Feeding America Food Banks.

Inspiration

The leader was inspired to join the National Day of Service as it is a great way to help the community around them. By providing services to the community around them, Ameriprise is not only able to "help the community but is also able to make a better business environment by creating potential clients in better situations"(email) around them. By providing a better business environment, Ameriprise is able to not only make their community more successful overall but is also able to have better opportunities for themselves in a built-up community. Ameriprise is able to use its business to aid the Feeding America Food Banks with the crucial services and supplies that they need.
