Inspired by the ODS for Clean Water and Sanitation, the creator of the Ahorra Max product, created a formula to avoid wasting water through the toilet and help protect the planet. This product is also based on the ODS of Decent Work and Economic Growth, because despite the adversities that have occurred in the creation of the product, today it is a success for households and generates employment throughout Colombia, with the main pillar to protect the planet. Due to the above, the ODS of Responsible Consumption and Production, because it is not only saving water, but the container of the product is also recycled in order to avoid environmental contamination.

Inspiration

In 2012, Diego, the creator of the product, asked himself: how is it possible if urine is water? Why do we constantly throw away so many liters of water per day?

So that's where he came up with the idea of starting to look for products that would do something to avoid continuous washing in the toilets.

Seven years ago, he discovered that there was nothing in the market and decided to start researching and creating this product. The biodegradable product is made of conventional salt, which is sodium chloride.

He is an empirical engineer, by trial and error. Although it took two years to obtain and create the formula that is already being patented today.

Overall impact

Bearing in mind that water is a fundamental and essential resource for life on the planet, human beings should be aware of its use, and think that the abuse of this valuable resource can generate fatal consequences for all living beings. In this sense, this innovative product called Save Max is created, which seeks an efficient water saving in Colombian homes. This product allows to save between 3000 and 3600 liters of water, in 360 uses of it, for a minimum cost in the market, which will encourage all families to save water resources. As you can analyze the impact on the environment is not only forceful, but also generates a positive impact on the household economy, because it is saving between 20% and 25% savings in the cost of the service of aqueduct and sewage .

This is the innovation that emerges from everyday life and the need to conserve the environment, the account not only with its creators to start the business, but also has two direct employees who are responsible for the distribution and marketing of the product in the city of Bogotá, and between 40 and 50 indirect jobs, through a commercial network throughout Colombia. This is a family business that arises in the core of a home, is currently the sustenance of it, and many more families who have created this product is the most appropriate way to save water.

Currently the creators seek to generate a new line of this product, so that it is not only the exclusive use for the home, but that at the same time can use the device in public bathrooms, is also working on a new product, completely ecological and friendly to the environment that eliminates the odors of stool in the bathroom.

Social and environmental benefit

Water is one of our most abundant resources because it covers almost 80% of the earth's resources, it is important to emphasize that less than 1% is fresh water, which we use for home, industry, commerce or tourism. This invaluable resource is found in lakes, rivers and rains and should be sufficient for all living beings, which is why it is important to save it, give it a good use and allow future generations to enjoy this precious resource, which in some places The world is currently quite scarce. So the reasons for taking care of water are not only based on solidarity, but also on the care of the environment and the survival of all living beings within it.
