Summary

CTR/NY provides online based labor management solutions with a main focus on helping other businesses manage their labor and time efficiently. It solves both, Decent Work and Economic growth, and Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, as they foster a great environment for their employees which in turn makes them be very successful with their customers. The result is that the companies become more efficient and produce more, which aids economic growth. 

Innovation

CTRNY is a prime example of how good leadership and striving for hard work within a company, can lead to it helping the outside world flourish as well. For instance, the CEO of CTRNY works hard to treat people, especially employees, fairly. The concept is that if leadership compromised and used fair business practices while dealing with employees, the employees would then transfer their same treatment externally to the customers. That is why the CEO implements many fair leniencies and quantum leadership strategies for her employees in order to improve the work environment. As a result, the employees treat their customers with the same respect and love.

This not only helps the business foster growth and customer service but it also fits the roles of the UN SDGs of Decent Work and Economic growth, and Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. The company fulfills decent work and economic growth by not only taking care of their employees but also by providing solutions that help other employees and companies handle pay, and employ attendance correctly. Which, by itself, also boosts the economy. In addition, the company's problem solutions also aid the economy's infrastructure as it allows employees to get paid on time and correctly for their given work.

Inspiration

We asked the current CEO what was her inspiration, and what she hoped to be as a leader when she first stepped in as the CEO. She replied, “The people around me, who work every day and contribute their own unique talents to the company, really inspired me to become a leader who is fair, understands that sometimes life gets in the way, and to be the person that they could all go to.” It seemed from the questions that she strived to help all the people around her and that is what gave her inspiration to be a good leader to help guide them.

Overall impact

The current CEO was chosen before a major turning point in the world. She identified the world starting to gravitate towards computers and with technological help from her team members, she opened up the door for the company to undergo a complete change to adapt. This was the installment of computers in the office.

 However, this might seem basic from today's perspective, there was a huge learning curve that the employees faced with these new developments, and the CEO holds pride that she was able to support the staff and help them overcome their challenges, all the while teaching them that change is ok.

Business benefit

The businesses shift from mechanical to software stemmed from the change in the employees work environment. The addition of computers, led to the company focusing more on software services yet still retaining all of its employees. Even with the new services provided to customers, software solutions to time and attendance, it allowed the company to stay integral to the market, while allowing employees to have job security. This ended up building a lot of trust, respect, and joy within the employees of the company. Thus, leading to even better customer satisfaction.

Social and environmental benefit

With high customer satisfaction, the company works payroll and other companies to track and provide time management solutions to customers (businesses). The result of this has a huge benefit to society. The way it works is if employees in other companies are getting the money they worked for on time and in the correct amount, then they are happy, and put the money back into the economy, helping it grow.

Additionally, it also helps companies grow as they stop paying extra money on employees for work they didn’t do because they weren’t on the clock yet. As well, by providing solutions to a lot of companies software problems allow their management to run more efficiently, which allows them to have smoother operations and increase their profit.
