Brandin Cohen, CEO, founder, and entrepreneur, has always had a passion for giving back. His experience in sports led him to work for a baseball team and he noticed that they were drinking Pedialyte. As a rehydration solution that is targeted towards babies, he found that this was the only rehydrating solution for sports players on the market. Pedialyte was not only made for children, but it was filled with artificial chemicals and preservatives. He and cofounder Hayden Fulstone, created a solution that addressed this issue. They wanted a product that would be non-GMO, vegan and natural that would provide nutrients and increased absorption right into the bloodstream. From initially being a ready-to-drink mix that was liquid and bottled, they found a more innovative solution by creating a powdered version that could have a longer shelf life and be easily transported.
From Cohen's successful personal experience with giving back to the Haitian community after the devastating 2010 earthquake, he learned how the power of community can make a real difference. This thought inspired the company's lifelong mission to give to people in need. Liquid I.V. was founded upon the basis of creating groundbreaking products to fuel life’s adventures, with the ultimate goal of helping those who are less fortunate.
Since the founding of Liquid I.V. in 2012, they have partnered with many organizations to provide thousands of servings of Liquid I.V. to schools and health clinics to fight dehydration. They've partnered with Hands Together to deliver packets to Haiti, and Feed the Hungry to bring critical hydration to refugees fleeing the South Sudan Civil War crisis. In 2018, they partnered with Direct Relief, a top humanitarian organization with a vast network of charities and disaster relief teams and Liquid I.V. has been able to donate at a moment’s notice.
Their most recent team trip to Nepal in 2019, was an eye opener for all participants. They teamed up with Mountain Heart Nepal to bring a medical clinic to Ghale Gaun and they distributed sticks, presented a lesson on hydration to high school students and learned about the problems facing the Nepalese population. This trip has inspired them to a larger scale, and they have planned to start a LIV Foundation and build a "CTW (Change The World) School" to bring higher-level education to those who otherwise would not receive it.
With the continued success of their Hydration Multiplier and Sleep, which includes a natural blend of melatonin, L-theanine and valerian root, they have plans to expand their product line. They also plan to hire more people, providing more job opportunities so they can have a greater impact worldwide.
This innovation provides hydration solutions for everyone on the planet. , Liquid I.V. sticks provide nutrients to anyone in need, and they have gone to patients in hospitals, medical clinics in Nepal, families in the military and others. With the mission to “Change The World”, Liquid I.V. is well on its way in providing health and well-being around the globe.
