Gasol Organic Agriculture was first developed by Mr. Fleming and Mrs. Ika in 2004. Located in Cianjur, West Java, Gasol basically grows its business from plantation to consumption, to enhance the effectiveness of the production, and to oversee that people, planet, and profit are taken care of on a purpose of obtaining sustainability. This innovation offers grains that processed organically and the organic flour as the finished goods. To overcome tillage’s pests attack, Gasol uses the pesticide of their own leftover plants, leaves, and other ingredients. Likewise, the biofertilizer is made by cow manure and chaffs of its own farm (adopting the zero-waste based). For soiling alone, Gasol takes several times to rest. Therefore, it is interspersed by other plants e.g. bananas, sweet potatoes, green beans, and kidney beans. These finally caused Gasol Flour has a variety of variants.

To reach the opportunities, Gasol Organic Agriculture expands its products’ lines into healthy complementary babies feeding. Using the same farming system, the Gasol Babies Flour committed to serving the breastfed babies in providing appropriate homemade complementary food. It is non-instant but easy to make and has different flavors regarding each consumer’s needs. Aside from the farming areas, Gasol Organic Agriculture also provides a yard planted with various live pharmacy plants, as well as some small cages of cattle. These plants either can be their own consumption or picked to serve the visiting guests. In the meantime, Gasol Organic Agriculture encourages marketing activities about the product as it comes to harvest. Inspiration

The founder was inspired by the book called The One-Straw Revolution of by Masanobu Fokuka, a Japanese farmer and proponent of no-till cultivation to manage weeds and reduce or eliminate tillage without resorting to the use of chemical herbicides. Accompanied by his wife, together they used the 2000 m2 of the backyard and started to farm. Ms. Fleming emphasizes that they only stored and utilized the local seeds such as Hawarabatu, Cingkrik, dan Peuteui that has been known for its excellence. All seeds are collected from the agriculturist in Cianjur, West Java.

Gasol has been involving over a hundred of local neighborhoods in Cianjur, West Java to improve their livelihoods and avoid an exploitative work. Within a profit sharing based system, Gasol supports the farmers’ increased living standard and good healthcare assistance. Currently, Gasol has been the sought of inspiration to create a better lifestyle. By the environmentally responsible way of producing and high value of the selective local seeds of its own cultivation, Gasol believes that the product is guaranteed to consume.

As the earth’s resources are limited, Gasol Organic Agriculture focused on developing improved sourcing standards by re-planting the best local seeds and distributing considerable attention to the usage and ecosystems. Besides that, Gasol Organic Agriculture also welcomed the visiting guests to willingly share concerning the excellence of local grains, how to choose rice’ type that is good for human health, as well as other insights on how to farming in no-till ways and create organic fertilizer.
