Jejaring Craft produces uniquely designed fashion and crafts based on eco-print techniques.

Jejaring Craft is also based on their activities with a collaboration mindset. In its operation to produce various products, they will empower other local sources hence the eco-print based can transform into various kinds of products such as crafted products, home decor, and fashion. If you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go together. Jejaring Craft believes eco print for sustainability can go strong with collaboration from many parties. The collaboration will promote the technique and improve its application to various products.

Being responsible for the resources Jejaring Craft also grows the plants in their surroundings. They give away seeds to the workshop participants. In production they also use natural dye, use natural fabric, Jejaring Craft tries to maximize the usage of environmentally friendly materials. The waste and leaves from production turn into compost, and patchworks turn into crafted products.

Eco-print technique drives creativity, with the availability of many kinds of plants. Jejaring Craft continuously tries to use a variety of plants and leave as each will generate a unique pattern.

Inspiration

Jejaring Craft founded in 2018, originally started as a for-profit group within a craft community. One of the activities is to provide education to people where the skill later can be used to increase their income. Jejaring Craft was founded by 5 women from different craft specialties. During their journey, Jejaring Craft continuously improve their skill and knowledge with various crafts knowledge which finally led them to eco-pounding and eco print techniques. In 2020, they enriched their techniques of making eco print and also committed that being eco-friendly and sustainable should be an end-to-end process.

Indonesia is very rich in these natural elements and free resources. Some of the plants that only grow in Indonesia will add to the uniqueness of the products. Eco print can be one of the unique products originating from Indonesia in addition to the famous batik product. The people also have valuable resources, if more people are involved in eco-friendly production more products will be generated.

Overall impact

1. Clean water & sanitation, eco-friendly crafted and fashion, using natural and ecofriendly sources to become an eco-friendly product, and it is safe for the environment.

2. Education and community improvement. Jejaring Craft provides workshops to educate the participant with craft skills and eco-print techniques, and to promote safe production. Provide a hang tag in the product hence buyer can be informed with product sourcing and maintenance.

3. Decent work & economic growth, Jejaring Craft participate in the exhibition and fashion show that employs staff and model in a fairly manner and complies with the regulation.

5. Responsible consumption and production, Jejaring Craft try to use variety of plants, design that minimize the waste and even use the waste as fashion or crafted product.
