Humblx helps Janitors and Facility Managers to report issues with images in real-time to upper levels in Management and provides them with actionable information to resolve issues. It provides a centralized platform for all Housekeeping and Facility Management teams to communicate and collaborate.

The different features that the app provides are

1. Customizable checklist

The different organization has a different need for the same product, Hublx understands this so the app allows the flexibility in making the checklist as per the need of the organization.


2. Real-time notification

This is a basic feature that would enable the user to receive notifications on the go.


3. Useful Insights

This feature would show you the statistics of complaints lodged, cleaning done, etc., basically, all the activities are tracked and shown in a comprehendible form.


4. Shift scheduling

Shift scheduling is done as per the customer's requirements.


5. Staff performance

The application allows monitoring the real-time performance of the staff, which would help operations.


6. Public feedback

This system would help the customers to help understand how the public is viewing the setup.


7. Remote monitoring

This is one of the most useful, features of the app which allows you to monitor the progress work from your employee, sitting in one’s room.


8. Automatic Escalation

If the ticket raised is not solved in the stipulated time, there would be an automatic escalation of the ticket to the higher authorities.


9. QR based reporting

This feature allows for sending grievances on an instant basis. The user can just scan the QR code which will help them register their report in the portal that would open, and these shall reflect in the app later on.

Catering to Sanitization Needs with Innovation

Inspiration

While completing his engineering in 2017, the founder of humble X, Mr. Samir was looking forward to domains where he could apply the knowledge which he gained during his college days. Mr. Singh wanted to start something of his own and did not take up any job. At that time he participated in a hackathon with a socially relevant problem. The problem statement was related to sanitization and hygiene.

Mr. Singh's father was a part of Swach Bharat Abhiyan for the last 16 years so, he had some understanding about what initiatives the government and NGOs are taking to accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage and to put the focus on sanitation.

"I understood that so many people are trying so hard to make our world a better place", shared Mr. Singh. His first thought of starting an NGO where he can use his knowledge to reduce the sanitation problem but he was skeptical about starting an NGO because when he looked around he felt that NGO models are not that feasible, so the model has to be a startup.

So as it happened one day, during one of his travel when he used the public washroom, he realized that one of the main reasons for the lack of proper hygiene at a public washroom is the absence of a proper feedback loop or grievance redressal system.

So, he thought about what he should do at first he thought that it might be a money problem, as one person is only paying a mere INR 2, so he then took the help of his friends and they started counting the number of people that were using the toilet in a single day, around 2,443 people used the toilet which generated a revenue of INR 8,886. So it was not a money problem but a corruption problem.

All these experiences inspired and gave Mr. Singh the idea to start Humblx where he can use his knowledge and skills to help Janitors and Facility Managers to report issues with images in real-time to upper levels in management and provide them with actionable information to resolve issues.

Overall impact

The facts and figures from WHO tell us that around 8,27 000 people die each year in low- and middle-income countries as a result of inadequate water, sanitation, and hygiene levels out of which 60 percent of deaths are due to poor sanitation.

Two out of every three individuals on the planet are at risk of sickness due to a lack of access to a clean, safe toilet. We all are aware that our public toilets are pathetic and the clean ones are highly inefficient in working. As Covid-19 expanded over the world, the need to keep our homes, workplaces and community spaces hygienically clean became even more acute.

Addressing all these concerns, “HumblX” is on the ground to focus and remedy this problem, as well as bring accountability in the system by collecting user feedbacks with their IoT-based real-time monitoring system.

The overall purpose of good sanitation is to provide a healthy living environment for everyone, safeguard natural resources including surface water, groundwater, and soil, and provide safety, security and dignity for people when they defecate or urinate.

They believe that access to sanitation should be a basic human right for all, not a privilege for some.

They’re contributing to achieving UN Sustainable Development Goal 6: Ensuring sufficient and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all through - “HumbleX”.

Business benefit

Considering the current scenario of the COVID-19 outbreak and new variants that have been emerging, Covid-19 has taught us to be very careful when it comes to our health and when health is considered sanitation is something that is always given a priority. HumblX has taken the initiative to look into the sector of public safety related to sanitation.

HumblX has been working with various hospitals and corporations to develop their app and help in the better identification of problems at various levels in the sector, from the janitor to the Director of an organization. Since this is an emerging field, therefore, there is not a lot of business competition but the impact that HumblX is having on society and life at par is worth the while, not only this the way they have brought in the business in the field of sanitation by contacting cleaning companies and organizations is bringing change in the society and will keep doing the same in the coming years.

Since they work on the slightest of the problems that everyone faces, their main focus as of now is on the hospital or healthcare industry due to the outbreak and the urgent need for good health and sanitation that people have realized in the passing year.

So the organization is targeting the need of the customers which simply means that they are trying to keep up with the needs of the proper and timely sanitation process of the healthcare organizations which could help them gain an edge by catering to the customer needs and also by taking into account the competitive edge that they will have by offering regular checks and by providing proper and timely sanitation facilities.

Social and environmental benefit

HumblX has shown how if one's heart is in right place even a small innovation can create a bigger impact. Thus impacting the lives and livelihood of frontline workers in the sanitation and health sector.

The housekeeping system faces the issue of the high cost of cleanliness with low-profit margins. HumblX has helped greatly in reducing the high cost of cleanliness by working on one aspect of the problem the checklist and monitoring system.

HumblX has successfully designed a system that can be effectively customized as per the need of the client and the respective problem.

HumblX has innovated on the workflow frontier by digitizing a checklist system for monitoring the day-to-day functioning and performance of housekeeping companies and their employees. Thus saving both cost and time for the stakeholders.

The innovative workflow system has not only helped in monitoring but has also increased the visibility and appreciation for frontline sanitation workers all due to HumblX unique approach and philosophy.

HumblX further innovated the feedback system by using the QR Code scan-based feedback form system which can be conveniently used by the users.

HumblX has introduced the Toilet Care Support intending to fix the social, organizational, and design aspects of toilets across the verticals.

HumblX currently is focussing on providing its services to renowned hospitals like AIIMS, E-toilets like Garv, and various other schools.
