Summary

The company's goal is to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. NoirX, which stands for black excellence, is about uplifting the black woman. They want to encourage people to be beautiful in their own skin.

Innovation

Kristie, a Haitian immigrant, created NoirX in 2020 with the goal of advancing inclusion and diversity in the field and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. The organization is situated in Boston, Massachusetts, but has a global emphasis. They use their proficiency in visual storytelling to promote social change.

NoirX's unique and creative contribution to the UN SDGs is to emphasize underrepresented populations' stories and promote their representation. By giving platforms to underrepresented voices (black and brown voices), the organization hopes to change the narrative in photography by expressing their experiences in an uplifting and truthful way.

NoirX is fostering diversity, inclusivity, and social impact via their creative approach to visual storytelling, which is helping to make the world a better place. By empowering the voices of underrepresented people and utilizing their creativity to inspire change, they are creating a new benchmark for the sector.

Inspiration

According to the interview with the founder of NoirX, her mother was the source of her inspiration to work as hard as she could. Growing up in Haiti, she witnessed the challenges her mother faced in providing for their family in a third-world country. She stated, "My mother inspired me to work as hard as I can. We moved to Haiti when I was 6. The Haitian lifestyle is completely different from the American lifestyle. I lived in Haiti for about 8/9 years. My mom worked as hard as she could in a third-world country to be able to provide for me and eventually my older brother."

Moving back to the United States gave her a different perspective on life, and she was determined to work harder and take advantage of the opportunities available to her. She stated, "I ended up moving back to the States and saw an entirely different lifestyle; I wanted to work harder. The possibilities in the States are endless compared to living in Haiti where things are limited."

The founder's business reflects her respect for her mother's tenacity and endurance. The name NoirX ties the business to her heritage since, according to her, "Without my mom, I would not have anything that I have now." Her commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion via her work is fueled by her connection to her Haitian ancestry.

The entrepreneur was motivated to start her firm and work as hard as she could to establish herself through her own experiences of growing up in Haiti and seeing her mother's tenacity and dedication. She is inspired to utilize her photography to advance diversity and inclusion in the business through her connection to her culture and her appreciation for her mother's fortitude and resiliency.

Overall impact

NoirX has had a significant impact on the industry in both the short and long term. From the beginning, the founder's goal was to showcase her creativity through photography. However, as her business grew, she realized that she was not only inspiring people to create but also making them more confident in themselves. She stated, "When I first started taking pictures, my goal was just to show what I could think of and do. I never really imagined people would want me to creatively direct a photoshoot. I never thought I'd make people more confident in themselves and step out of their comfort zone. Lastly, I never thought I'd be inspiring people to create."

By enabling her customers to express themselves through photography and feel secure in their own skin, NoirX has had a big influence on them in the short term. Numerous young ladies have talked about how their experiences with NoirX have given them the self-assurance to post more on social media and even motivated them to pick up a camera or start modeling. The company's capacity to uplift and empower individuals is demonstrated by this immediate impact.

In the long term, NoirX's emphasis on inclusion and diversity in the business has the potential to bring about significant change. NoirX is promoting a more inclusive and fair industry by displaying varied viewpoints and drawing attention to overlooked voices. The increased call for diversity representation in media and the arts is indicative of this influence.

The industry has benefited from NoirX's creative approach to photography in both the short and long term. The organization has motivated several individuals to feel more confident and express themselves artistically via its emphasis on empowering individuals and advancing diversity and inclusiveness. As a consequence, NoirX is assisting in the development of a more fair and inclusive sector, which will benefit present and future generations.

Business benefit

NoirX has accomplished a number of noteworthy milestones since its beginning. The company has seen exceptional revenue and growth thanks to the provision of distinctive services and a change in its marketing approach. "I made two times my normal monthly sales from December 2022-March 2023 and am continuing to see an influx," Kristi said. The company's performance in the sector is demonstrated by this increase in revenue.

In addition, NoirX has developed a new service where aspiring models and video creators may expand their portfolios by paying $450 each month for three sessions. Since its introduction, this ground-breaking service has grown to be immensely well-liked and has assisted the business in growing its clientele. Aspiring models and content makers now have prospects thanks to the service, which has also given the company a new source of funds.

The marketing plan of the business has also been very important to its development. NoirX earned over 9000 followers on a new social media outlet in just one year by altering their tactics. The firm has been able to access new markets and draw in new clients because of its improved presence on social media. Additionally, the business discovered that around 27% of its overall TikTok followers also followed its Instagram profile. For the company, this rise in followers and engagement has created new investment options.

Social and environmental benefit

The revolutionary photography style of NoirX offers several advantages for both the environment and society. The establishment of a secure environment where women may have their images taken without fear is one important advantage. Because there are not many women photographers, the creator said, "I always create a safe environment for all women in Massachusetts to be able to enjoy their session." NoirX enables women to express themselves freely and boldly by giving them this safe environment.

NoirX is assisting in the creation of possibilities for young people to pursue their hobbies by providing a service that is especially geared at content producers and rising models. With the help of this service, people may develop their professional portfolios, which may open up new employment options and boost their performance in their particular sectors. NoirX is fostering talent development by offering this service, which is advantageous to society as a whole.

NoirX's approach to photography provides environmental advantages in addition to social ones. The business has adopted eco-friendly procedures, such the use of reusable props. NoirX is lessening its environmental impact and carbon footprint by doing this.
