The company collects the waste cooking oil from restaurants through trucks (in bulk) to recycle it into biodiesel to be used in UAE to power up trucks and school buses. This method allows the company to reduce carbon footprint emissions.
The innovation is recycling vegetable and cooking oil from restaurants and hotels in big bulks to transform them into biofuel for vehicle use (mainly focusing on busses and trucks).
This business innovation's main factor is to collect wasted oil from restaurants and hotels across the United Arab Emirates through trucks to convert them to biofuel by changing the molecular structure of the wasted oil.
The inspiration from other countries that utilized biodiesel as a source fuel for European countries but lacked efficiency. Therefore, Mr. Karl tried to improve the fuel structure to produce 93% efficiency.
Mr. Karl W. Fielder quoted, "this innovation is part of my mission. I am not a young man anymore, and I have 3 children, and I want them to grow up in a world that has less pollution and less damage from the carbon dioxide greenhouse gasses”.
The impact of the innovation is to reduce the carbon footprint, which affects the environment. Increase customer awareness of using fossil fuel (to persuade potential customers to substitute for biofuel).
The partnership of neutral fuels with McDonald's increases mutual trust between the two companies by recycling the cooking oil into biofuel. Assisting government bodies to inspire for change, to use biofuel so that it protects the environment.
This process increases the reputation of the company, increases efficiency, and increases potential revenue and profit.
This innovation's impact on the environment helps reduce the carbon footprint emissions by providing an alternative (biofuel). And impacts society by educating and raising awareness about the dangers of using fossil fuel.

The interview occurred over a Zoom meeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic to reduce the spread of the virus; therefore, the meeting was scheduled through the online platform on November 25th, 2020. Inability to take a tour in the company due to the pandemic, which hinders the documentation process.
