Zheyde A. Pérez , mediante su empresa Yabebirí Centro Cultural, imparte diversos cursos en los que se trata de impulsar el ámbito artístico, social y físico de las personas. El impacto positivo que genera en el municipio de Veracruz es muy grande ya que se enfoca en aspectos sociales, educativos y de salud, reduciendo los estereotipos comunes dentro de su sociedad, educando e impartiendo conocimientos, técnicas y experiencias de arte y narrativa literaria. Esto deja una amplia área de expresión libre de ideas creativas para toda la comunidad que tiene relación con la institución y apoyando en el ámbito de salud con la elaboración de actividades de salud tanto corporal como mental. Mediante cursos de stop motion, artes plásticas, pintura o escritura literaria las personas acuden a la institución para enriquecerse de estos conocimientos, ayudando también en la parte social y empática tocando más a fondo los aspectos interpersonales de las personas y apoyando a olvidar esos miedos que a veces hasta nosotros nos pueden vencer. Zheyde comentaba que "Cuando nosotros iniciamos teníamos tres talleres con pocos alumnos. Estos talleres eran arte, guitarra y gimnasia y éramos las personas que participabamos en el proyecto pero mientras avanzabamos vimos que las personas también les interesaba la fotografía, el teclado o violín. Entonces fuimos armando nuestra cartelera para abrir la oportunidad a las personas de todas las edades. Entonces buscamos nuevas oportunidades para convivir y aprender sin importar el rango de edad."

Zheyde commented that "When we started we had three workshops with few students. These workshops were art, guitar, and gymnastics and we were the people who participated in the project but as we progressed we saw that people were also interested in photography, the keyboard, or the violin. Then we were putting together our billboard to open the opportunity to people of all ages. So we looked for new opportunities to live together and learn regardless of the age range. "

Inspiration

La historia de la creación de Yabebirí se remonta hace más de 10 años. Después de dar varios talleres de artes plásticas y animación en stop motion, Zheyde empezó a impartir en espacios culturales independientes sus conocimientos y experiencias en esta área. A la par, su madre y su hermana Patricia Perez Sanchez empezaron a dar talleres de gimnasia y yoga y escritura respectivamente. Estando dentro del mismo rubro ya era natural para ellas el pensamiento de algo propio y pensándolo durante un largo tiempo, crearon el espacio ideal para realizar los talleres, salones, foros y espacios recreativos para la convivencia de las personas. "El nombre surgió de un cuento de Horacio Quiroga que se llama El Paso de Yabebirí, que es parte de sus cuentos de la selva. Desde pequeña siempre me ha gustado porque la mayoría de sus cuentos habla de la relación del hombre con la naturaleza, con su entorno, con la comunicación con los animales y la importancia de ser conscientes de nuestro impacto y nuestro lugar en el ambiente" comentó Zheyde. El cuento habla de la historia de un grupo de mantarrayas que se unen como equipo para salir victoriosas de una amenaza que es mucho más grande que ellas y como equipo logran vencer los obstáculos que tienen frente a ellas.

At the same time, his mother and sister Patricia Perez Sanchez began giving gymnastics and yoga and writing workshops respectively. Being within the same category, it was already natural for them to think of something of their own, and thinking about it for a long time, they created the ideal space to hold workshops - rooms, forums, and recreational spaces for people's coexistence. "The name came from a story by Horacio Quiroga called El Paso de Yabebirí, which is part of his stories about the jungle. Since I was little I have always liked it because most of his stories talk about man's relationship with nature, with their environment, with communication with animals and the importance of being aware of our impact and our place in the environment," said Zheyde. The story tells the tale of a group of stingrays that come together as a team to emerge victorious from a threat that is much greater than them and as a team they manage to overcome the obstacles in front of them.

La institución de Yabebirí emplea a talentos locales de diversas áreas, ya sean hombres o mujeres para colaborar con ellos impartiendo cursos interactivos tanto para niños pequeños como adultos mayores. Todo esto para crear lazos de amistad y la enseñanza del trabajo en equipo. Zheyde Pérez también comentó que el ambiente se llena de mucha confianza, que los espacios creativos son tan cómodos que cualquier persona puede desarrollarse libremente. Siento un ambiente artístico es importante que exista el respaldo o seguridad de que se puede experimentar o equivocarse y seguir adelante.

Más allá de los ingresos económicos que Yabebirí tiene, los beneficios que la institución goza y enriquecen internamente a los colaboradores es el tener la confianza de expresarse y desarrollarse libremente, que muchas personas van a la institución por la comodidad y la metodología empleada y todos consiguen ese sentido de pertenencia. De la misma forma, el ver el proceso de los proyectos dentro de los talleres y los lazos entre talleres que pueden surgir para complementar a otros demuestra la gran capacidad que tienen las personas al querer superar y cumplir metas personales.

Los objetivos que Yabebirí enfrenta son muy desafiantes, debido a la situación actual unas puertas se cerraron pero unas nuevas ventanas se abrieron. Las reuniones dentro de la institución se realizan ahora mediante videollamadas y aunque las personas extrañan la modalidad presencial, esto dio paso a nuevos intereses y personas de distintos estados del país, abarcando otras áreas sin perder la esencia original.

In the same way, seeing the process of the projects within the workshops and the links between workshops that may arise to complement others shows the great capacity that people have in wanting to overcome and fulfill personal goals.

The objectives that Yabebirí faces are very challenging, due to the current situation some doors were closed but new windows were opened. Meetings within the institution are now held through video calls and although people miss the face-to-face mode, this gave way to new interests and people from different states of the country, covering other areas without losing the original essence.

Social and environmental benefit

Para Zheyde Pérez, el generar un impacto de manera positiva en las personas es un trabajo que replica a largo plazo y que mejor forma de realizar actividades relacionadas con la conciencia ambiental. El poder concientizar a la comunidad de Yabebirí genera una cadena que puede trascender en el tiempo, la expresión artística ayuda con los diferentes aspectos ambientales que hoy vivimos y que se deben atender urgentemente. Además, todos los materiales que Yabebirí ocupa usualmente en sus actividades son elementos de reciclaje, cosas que se pueden dar otro uso o materiales que son amigables con el medio ambiente.
