Summary

Intera wants to generate a constructive system through the participation of the families of the community, generating value chains in the recycling process that by means of the plastic recovery of the streets, prevent it from being dumped and continue contaminating the environment.

"We contribute positively in the problem of the indiscriminate felling of trees in the field since after recycling; the material is converted into products that replace wood. " Andres Jose Paz

Innovation

1- We arrive at the bases and do a post-consumer recycling: Collection of wasted plastics that we finally waste at home. The idea is to clean the streets; recover plastic materials; select them well. Plastics are collected 150 to 200 tons per month, which generates finished products for the benefit of the community.

2- Environmental impact Although the products are focused on the agricultural sector, the idea is for this sector to replace wood and apply it to plastic products. Limiting the cutting of trees."the most important thing that is sustainable in time" Andres Jose Paz

Inspiration

Andrés the owner of Intera through the experience of life in the countryside in his hometown "Popayán" from childhood, he realized that the felling of trees is an unfortunate problem for the environment and that is where he decides to create a substitute to replace the products made in wood. Later in the university they show him the criticality of the recycling system. Andrés: "Waste pickers are in a precarious situation, difficult, with lack of order, do not know about recycling and finally empirically create products and make products from recycling." This is how after leaving university 8 years ago he began to interact with the medium and I created his company. He learned about the subject and created an organized recycling process and put it into operation until this time.

Business benefit

This post-consumer recycling that generates new products that are sold to the agroindustrial sector, replacing wood products; generates an economic income that for companies like INTERA allows them to remain in the economy in a sustainable manner and contribute to different sectors of society, generating new economic cycles that leverage the supply chain."The biggest approach that we want to achieve, to transmit this, that people understand, understand, change the chip a bit and that we really grow as a society, that's Important" - Andres Jose Paz.

Social and environmental benefit

The organized collection of garbage and the conversion of plastic material such as bottles that today are the cause of the greatest contamination in the world; It is part of an excellent job that translates the recovery of values and ethics in society. Only those who do a thorough job, can show results that impact the sustainable development of the world in general.
