Summary

DISECLAR created a product that is sustainable and takes recycled plastic and agroindustrial waste to transform it into a wood-type product that can be used in the real estate and construction markets.

Innovation

DISECLAR is dedicated to manufacturing and designing furniture from recycled plastic and vegetable fiber that comes from agroindustrial waste such as coffee husks, rice or cane bagasse, allowing the wood to be replaced by a material that gives the same appearance and longer useful life. Its product is ideal for outdoor use because it does not rot and does not peel, being friendly to the environment, as it prevents deforestation. In addition to this, the final disposal of the product can be returned to the company who will recycle it again.

Inspiration

The inspiration comes from a previous job in a brewery, where he observed a lot of material that was not reused and that generated pollution in the environment.

"This is where I looked for a way to reuse this material and use it in a positive way that generates at the same time an additional benefit in the reduction of tree felling to manufacture furniture."

Overall impact

DISECLAR has a very large global impact with its products, since they are based on recyclable inputs - plastic bottles, agroindustrial waste such as coffee husks, sugar bagasse, generating a product with appearance of wood, which reduces the deforestation, mitigates the environmental impact and climate change and generates greater production of oxygen and healthy environment on the planet. Additionally, it generates awareness regarding the conservation of natural resources.

This innovation product reduces the deforestation in Colombia and the product is very attractive for the real estate sector, as it is a product with the appearance of wood and has a longer life time.

At the beginning, DISECLAR was an idea that arose from the need to recycle bottles of gaseous products because the biodegradable process is not easy. Through investigations, Mr. Juan Suarez managed to create an innovative and sustainable product, which consists of manufacturing and designing furniture from recycled plastic and vegetable fiber that comes from agroindustrial waste such as coffee husks, rice or cane bagasse, allowing the wood to be replaced by a material that gives the same appearance and with longer useful life. The product is ideal for outdoor use because it does not rot and does not peel, being friendly to the environment, as it prevents deforestation.

One of the most important markets of DISECLAR is the construction and real estate sector, because he is dedicated to finishing homes with his recycled product applied in ceilings, floors, railings, chairs, outdoor tables, benches and staircases that in many cases are wood based, which benefits society through its sustainable product.
