Tesla Innovations Pvt. Ltd started as environment consultants. After undertaking several projects as consultants, they realized the potential of developing technologies in the various domains of their service that could help their clients become more sustainable and reduce costs directly. With that, they founded the Tesla Innovation Lab wherein they develop new technologies that can help address the various environmental issues faced in the industry. They also expanded their team to include more members that could contribute in developing technologies and attracting more projects.

“Never thought we would get into projects” one of their members said. And now, they have several trademarked technologies in their bag along with 30 major solutions in the various domains currently being developed at their innovation lab.

Inspiration

This all started when one of their founders (while pursuing his masters at IIT Bombay) won 2nd prize in a corporate competition where he had to develop a business model. Inspired by the experience, he went on to start this company along with his partner with the goal of reinventing the go-green concept, offering reliable and environment-friendly solutions to their partners and clients.

Soon, they realized the need to provide better technological solutions to tackle the problems plaguing the industry. As a result, they recruited more people that will help them provide technological solutions to their clients. As they grew, they realized the importance of having an innovation lab where they could develop new solutions and demonstrate their solutions’ feasibility to their clients. At their innovation lab, they not only present the models of their solutions, but explain the impact their solutions have on the environment and the benefits that the clients can reap from them.

They also realized the need for having more environmental engineers in the country, which inspired them to open their training center where they help fresh graduates enhance their skills and knowledge and provide them with opportunities to work with various companies.

Overall impact

The company provides environmentally friendly solutions to many companies operating in numerous domains. Their solutions revolve around promoting reusability of resources to reduce costs and managing dumping of waste especially when it comes to Hazardous Waste and Solid Waste Management. Apart from that, the company has also developed numerous solutions that help target key issues such as contaminated ground water, treatment of waste water and processed water, and tackling air pollution and soil remediation.

Apart from the solutions they provide, they also act as environmental consultants guiding their clients in becoming more environmentally friendly. Recently, the company realized that the industry is facing a shortage of environmental engineers. In an effort to do their part, they have started a training course wherein they train fresh graduates in the particular field for a period of 3 months enhancing their skills and knowledge. In the end, they partner with companies in order to find such engineers jobs wherein they can create a bigger impact.
