Ba Huan company had spent much time researching the model of raising poultry and producing eggs in other countries, such as Beijing and Shanghai, China and they approached an automatic egg production line of the Moba Group, Netherlands. After seeking for new technology and researching carefully, they decided to buy an automatic egg processing chain from Europe with total capacity of more than 230,000 eggs/hour. This is considered the most modern egg processing technology in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Breakthrough’s Ba Huan in equipment and technology in order to meet safety criteria (with the new technology, the company can check, sort out, clean and sterilize by ultraviolet rays. Besides, it has a function of automatic packaging, sealing and checking technical specifications of food safety and hygiene to make sure of the clean egg, every phase of processing is severely supervised).

With rapid developments and continued improvement in management, production and trade, in November 10, 2012 Ba Huan Company was granted a certificate recognizing a quality management system reaching ISO 9001:2008. It is an important factor that helps the company ensure and enhance production effectiveness and meet the increasing demand of customers, consumers and partners.

Ba Huan create diverse distribution channels to meet the needs of consumers. They are also regularly active join in the programs held by Authority to stabilize the market and stabilize the price. Create reputation from quality and together share community responsibilities.

Inspiration

During the interview, we were inspired by the entrepreneurship, social responsibility and spirit of struggling with difficulties of Ba Huan Company. Their non-stop positive contributions for other farmers and the community as well as the desire of finding out a way to help farmers get a better living, spirit of overcome the difficulties: fighting with the H5N1 flu epidemic, negative effects of climate changes,... are always in their heart. Ba Huan is really one of the typical examples of social enterprise which stick to the triple bottom line business model encompassing: People, Planet and Profit.

Ba Huan company has not only create jobs for farmers, they has also improved female farmers’ standing in the community, enhanced the role of women in their communities. They have also engaged in numerous social activities supporting people with disabilities and orphans. They support capital for breeding and collecting famer productions, help people in Mekong Delta to change their stable farming to feed duck eggs and get higher profit.

Ba Huan company also been recognized by the Vietnamese Government for active involvement in programs like “Support Association for People with Disabilities and Orphans” and “Everyone is the Same” as well as “Dream House”, a program by Ho Chi Minh Television to help farmers establish businesses.

With outstanding agricultural production achievements in the context of increasing climate change challenges, Mrs. Ba Huan was honored by The United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific and received the “Model Farmer” award for her her active contribution. Mrs. Ba Huan is the first Vietnamese female farmer to receive the prestigious award.

They have money for developing the business activity, importing technology from abroad, investing new factories, taking more and more market share in Vietnam. Besides, they also implement successfully the linkage model of four partners (farmers, scientists, enterprises and the state) for the sustainable development of the company.

In the coming years, apart from the domestic market, Ba Huan Company plans to export its products to overseas markets in South Korea, Canada and some other countries in Europe to expand the market and promote its trademark.
