The Sustainable Green Company has experimented with various formulations of corrugated cardboard to find the perfect packing material that provides optimal support and strength while being lightweight. They have developed a system such that they can create products as per the requirement of the clients.
The Sustainable Green Company(SGC) is on a mission to create a sustainable environment for ourselves and for future generations. To fulfill that mission SGC has developed two eco-friendly products- Cold Eco Asphalt and Paper Pulp Tray.
The Cold Eco Asphalt is an innovative product that can be used to do urgent maintenance operations as it integrates with the existing asphalt without crumbling and scattering. The cold eco Asphalt mix is ecological because of the raw material used in its production.
The paper Pulp tray is made from waste paper and is biodegradable. The paper pulp tray is a product that can replace thermocole and plastic from packaging. It can be used to package smaller items like cosmetics, and glass bottles and large items like refrigerators, washing machines, and other industrial products. Although being an Environmentally friendly product, it is also economical. Other than economic, there are social and business benefits to sustainable packaging.

The invention and creation of product innovation came from the idea of reducing the dependency on synthetic materials for packaging. The founders of sustainable green packaging decided to replace traditional synthetic packaging with a renewable alternative, but they couldn’t find it all at once. They were working on developing the alternative then they found corrugated cardboard that could be used as a better option. The corrugated cardboards were easy to source and at a cheaper price in India. This led to the idea of Moulded packaging using cardboard. Initially it seemed like a challenge to support heavy objects with paper but as the founder said "the Design makes it happen".
The overall impact that the founders want to create with this is they want to reduce the dependency of manufacturers on using thermocol for safe packaging. They also want to reduce the carbon footprint of using plastic packaging on the environment. The founder has a vision for the future generation to live the same life that we are experiencing now in order to achieve it they thought sustainable packaging with corrugated cardboards is a better way to replace plastic packaging.
The manufacturing of this product generally generates very less pollution when compared to its counterparts like plastic, thermocol, etc. The water, and air pollution generated is significantly low. The electricity consumption is a bit high but less compared to the alternatives. In future, they want to expand their offerings and venture into new domains of the sustainable packaging market.
Packaging forms an inseparable part of the product. A good packaging propels products to success. In today’s ever-changing business environment there is a great demand for sustainable packaging. The global green packaging market was valued at USD 274 billion by 2020. Growing consumer awareness with regards to eco-friendly packaging as well as government initiatives to reduce plastic waste are expected to fuel demand for renewable packaging.

With more companies going green the demand for sustainable packaging is expected to increase exponentially. Thus, enhancing the company’s revenue several fold.
The central idea around which the business has been built is to leave this planet better than we found it. The founder captured the essence of it by saying “We haven’t inherited the planet but borrowed it from our future generations.” Other than the direct social impact of generating employment opportunities, the business provides alternative packaging solutions for companies looking to go green. With increasing awareness about the hazards of using thermocol and plastic packaging, more and more companies are in the market for someone with alternative packaging. But such solutions tend to be costlier. With corrugated packaging, the reduced cost of transport offsets the apparent premium paid for such packaging.
Plastic packaging tends to end up in the ocean, research says we eat 5 grams of micro and nanoplastics each week. Biodegradable packaging helps reduce the dependence on plastic and therefore prevents illnesses arising from plastic consumption.
