The idea arises on a special need from the owner, Karina, whose niece suffer of a genetic disorder called down syndrome. One of her main fears is the lack of inclusion in society. Also, there is a high potential barrier for people with these kind of disorder to live a normal life and get a normal job.
As we presented, Amour 21 seeks to provide jobs for people in disatvantage while motivating society to do the same. Karina Navejear, owner of Amour 21, believes that you only need a little of patience and love, and with them these people can achieve many things and be helpful.
90% of people with special disabilities do not have a job in México. Amour 21 creates awareness about the lack of opportunities these people need. The company seeks to reduce this inequality in employment and try to reduce the unemployment rate.
The business has benefited from the interest of people to be part of this movement in which it seeks to give opportunity to people with disabilities and get involved in the acceptance of the project to grow. As we mention, coffes is more of a destination for people rather than an impulse to purchase, so when people feel like satisfying their urge for coffee, they usually look for the nearest coffee shop.
Having a social impact business creates awareness and motivation to participate. During the process of establishing the coffee shop, family and friends colborated with the cause, from supplying threated wood for tables, paint for the walls and labor by a fangroup of motorcycles guys. "Everything is possible and reachable if you seek to provide wellness", believes Karina Navejar, owner of Amour 21.
