Summary

They consistently offer wide range of quality products which are are prepared using purest quality natural herbs and ancient Vedic ayurveda techniques. They believe in providing products which promote sustainable living and do not cause any harm to the consumer.

Innovation

Their innovations are in range of Home Care, Health Care, Personal Care and Agri Care. These products are made using Vedic Ayurveda and thus cause the least harm to the consumer. These products increase the Utility Value for the consumer because of the special ingredients that are used in them. All these products are manufactured with utmost care with the target being well-being and better health of the consumer.

Along with this they also offer employment opportunities for the youth. They believe that large young population could be used as their strength, but due to lack of adequate employment in the country, a large number of youths are unemployed. They offer economically stable business opportunities to over millions of youths of Maharashtra and India. Efforts are made at Dreamtouch to provide a stable platform for the youth to succeed and walk on the path of growth and development and channelizing youth energy in a constructive way to transform their family, village, society and ultimately India.

Thus, Dreamtouch brings good quality family products for the rural and urban population at reasonable rates. Products ranging from home care to utility to international standard fertilizers, everything is developed to give the youth a platform they can trust and interact. Doing this, Dreamtouch also presents a Golden Opportunity to earn a living by providing these good quality products and services to others. Thus working towards UN SDG 11- Responsible Consumption and Production, UN SDG 1 - No Poverty and SDG 3- Good health and well being.

Inspiration

According to Mr. Swapnil, "What inspired DreamTouch was the society and the habits of people around them." They observed that the products ranging from home care or personal care or Agri Care were causing a lot of harm to their consumers. They thus planned on making products that only fulfilled these needs but also caused the least harm to the consumer. They targeted on selling products made from Ayurvedic ingredients, which benefited the consumer in many ways. Providing organic products is their way of working towards betterment of the society. the believe that "Problems are common, but solution is different.”

As quoted by Mr Swapnil, "We are, majorly, into the health sector so that we can give certain social/health benefits to the society."

One of their products, VSafe – sanitary napkins are designed to reduce the bacterial harm and are thus made from pure cotton. When they noticed the women of the society facing health problems due to long usage of sanitary napkin, they designed ones which would last longer.

Another product, Shishu Amrit was designed especially for young children to help with proper growth and development, physical as well as mental. That can be substituted for the usual milk powders.

Similarly, all its products are designed by taking inspiration from the society. They have been trying to address the day to day to problems of the people and give them more enriching and safer options made in more sustainable ways.

Along with this, they are also trying to solve the unemployment problems by way of employing people in their distribution channels. They currently have a base of approximately 5 Lakh distributors .

As said by Mr. Anish Timble, "The main point is to give quality products to the families in rural as well as in Urban Areas and to go with the eco-friendly scenario supporting sustainable development at the same time."

Overall impact

For their goal of reducing the overall unemployment, they have started giving the youth the opportunity to be entrepreneurs by giving them the chance to sell DreamTouch’s products. They are channelizing their sales through this army of “entrepreneurs” that they are planning to build all over India. Currently, they have employed approximately 5,00,000 individuals for their distributorship. Efforts are made at DreamTouch to provide a stable platform for the youth to succeed and walk on the path of growth and development and channelizing youth energy in a constructive way to transform their family, village, society and ultimately India. This thus helps them increase their sales and cover a larger area along with providing employment opportunities to the unemployed and working towards the UN SDG 1- No Poverty.

Also, the product range that they offer brings good quality family products for the rural and urban population at reasonable rates. Products ranging from home care to utility to international standard fertilizers, everything is developed by them using excellent quality standards and assuring products that are least harmful for all consumers. They offer 90+ products across various categories for a sustainable and healthy living with their major focus being on the well-being of the end consumer. They have been receiving excellent feedback from their current consumers thus motivating them to expand their innovative products across various categories and all over India.

Business benefit

Having a range of 90+ products enables the company to meet a wide range of requirements from health care to agro care. Having employed approximately 5 lakh distributors to sell this vast range of products enables them to increase the sales at a national level. They can cover a vast area without their own presence by way of distributors. They have permanent employees in the range of 60-70 at their Pune office Their retail profit comprises of difference between MRP and Distributor profit. The business earns profit by selling these sustainable products through the distributors by ways of retail profit.

Due to the success of their FMCG products that has allowed them to venture and expand into e-commerce business such as electricity bill payments, mobile recharge, DTH recharge, bus ticket booking, flight ticket booking, Hotel reservations, insurance payment and credit card bill payment.

Sustainability being one of the major factors that matter in today’s world, they are creating shared value which is enhancing the value of the products as well as their company along with creating value for the customers and stakeholders.

Being in organic field, and working in such huge numbers they have also earned recognition in many areas. They have been recognized by the Ayush Ministry and by various social activists such as Mr. Anna Hazare.

As mentioned in the interview by Mr. Swapnil, " There has been a tremendous response from the market in the last 6- 8 months. It has made a huge impact."

Social and environmental benefit

DreamTouch has worked towards employing 5 lakh distributors for selling their products across a vast geographical area. These distributors come from families and areas where there are very few employment opportunities available. DreamTouch thus helps them overcome poverty and unemployment by giving them the opportunity to sell its products through these individuals. Before becoming official distributors of DreamTouch these individuals are trained by undergoing a unique training program which involves – many workshops and programs. This trains them to develop skills pertaining to leadership development, business opportunity, product training, distributor training, and speaker training. DreamTouch has thus succeeded in educating their distributors in various areas to help them successfully sell the products.

They also provide monetary financial assistance to the distributors in case of any accidents or health issues.

As confirmed by Swapnil in the interview, " We are totally into organic" and that "Our children milk drink product is without any added color, is organic and improves your immune system which improves your memory.”

The company is also involved in launching various programs such as Krushi Marg Darshan Maasik program for farmers and Santosh Nair training program for distributors to help them progress in their respective fields.

During the interview, Mr Swapnil informed us that “Vikas Bengade (founder) had done a market survey. The survey tells us 65%-70% of the population are youth. Out of that 30% - 35% are unemployed. The concept of our business model is to provide a job only but to make entrepreneurs out of them.”
