CREATIVITY, INNOVATION, AND SOCIOPRENEURSHIP

Inspiration

between the years 2030-2040, Indonesia will get demographic dividend, which the number of human resource that productive (15-64 years old) will be bigger that unproductive age. This is period when Indonesia has a population of productive age with an abundance, which is about 2/3 of the total population. However, the demographic dividend is a double-edged sword and while a lower dependency ratio in future presents an opportunity, right policies are needed to earn the dividend.

The latest data from Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) shows that Indonesia has only about 3.01 percent of entrepreneurs from the total population of 250 million people. The data also shows that Indonesia's share is lagging behind the three Southeast Asian nations of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Nevertheless, according to GEM, the desire of Indonesian people to become entrepreneurs occupy the second position.

Indonesia government must prepare the qualified young generation before entering 2030. With the situation of young people who are ready to face this demography certainly have a positive impact for Indonesia, especially at the pace of economic development. Yoris awares of these opportunities and challenges. He realized that it is necessary to observe the young generation, he called “Generasi Langgas”, who will be the next leader of Indonesia. Yoris states,” If Generasi Langgas is not well managed and unproductive, then instead of being a demographic dividend, they can be a demographic disaster for Indonesia. In the next three years, we can see the extent to which the productivity of this unique generation.”

Overall impact

OMG! Creative Consulting focuses on several things such as creativity, innovation and sociopreneurship within their business. How to make young generation become creative that can make a variety of innovations and encourage them to become sociopreneurship are their lofty goals in order to create the superior generation for the nation's development now and in the future.

Yoris believes Indonesia has a lot of creative people who are able to innovate, so it would be nice if there is provided a platform for mutual passion and inspiration to emerge more innovation. Throughout all of OMG! Creative Consulting activities, he influences and expands the sociopreneurship movement throughout Indonesia which is expected to contribute to the transition to a sustainable economy and sustainable development in Indonesia.
