What Donald does as a business leader of the Applebee’s franchise is help upcoming businesses and entrepreneurs have exposure to a larger consumer base due to the world wide known name which Applebee’s has made for themselves. Donald is a general manager at an Applebee’s located in Staten Island, NY and is known for his work ethic that never ceases to diminish. All Donald sees within his view of what he does is nothing but prosperity and unmatched initiative. Donald has moved up through the company over his life, and has made a name for himself within the Applebee’s family.

Donald partnered with a(n) up and coming business known as Wine & Design. Wine & Design is a business that holds various meetings where consumers pay to learn how to paint, and also paint for fun while being able to drink wine at the same time, which is offered by the company. Wine & Design can be found on the hit series Shark Tank, and they are slowly but surely coming to a town near you. Donald created this partnership to give this up and coming company exposure and to get the name they have known by the masses with the backing of the Applebee’s name. Art that has been created is presented when you walk into Donald’s specified Applebee’s location, and flyers were also present where the Applebee’s name and Wine & Design name were presented. The flyers stated that Applebee’s would hold various gatherings at specific times and dates to host the Wine & Design concept at the Applebee’s location. Applebee’s partnering with Wine & Design proved to give potential consumers a safe and friendly place for this gathering, which is well known, while also obtaining a sense of closure that an established company such as Applebee’s is promoting this up and coming business.

The owner of Wine & Design presented Donald with an idea of a strategic partnership. This strategic partnership led to the various gathering of consumers who are interested in the concept of painting while also enjoying a glass of wine in the process. This innovation created new opportunities for Wine & Design, and they have received an immense amount of exposure through the overall strategic partnership. Any small business owner dreams of having their name presented in a way where large amounts of individuals are able to see what they have to offer. This is exactly what Donald, and Applebee’s did for Wine & Design. Advertising the concept, and promoting the overall business structure of Wine & Design has opened many new doors, and has boasted the company name’s on both ends.

Wine & Design was very grateful for Applebee's supporting economic growth and small business productivity. Much needed exposure that was given for Wine & Design. This strategic partnership occurred in the 2017 mid year time period, and is still a work in progress. Donald and Applebee’s are always looking for new and exciting ways to partner with smaller businesses to help them get a foot in the door and show the masses what those up and coming companies are truly capable of. Flyers were created, advertising was conducted, and visual presentations were viewed by the masses. One small act of selflessness can go a long way.

Donald loves to see individuals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses in general with a sense of direction. Donald has been a hard worker his whole life, made an immense amount of connections within the business world and has made a name for himself. Putting yourself out there for all to see is what grabs the attention of the people around you. Your initiative is what gets you to where you want to be, but someone believing in you and acting on your sense of mission is what gets you to that point where you can say I made it. This is exactly what Donald and the Applebee’s franchise would like to do for small business owners, which will promote economic growth. Donald is a humble and innovative man that takes pride in his work, while also taking the initiative to give a helping hand to those coming into the business industry, which stood out while Donald on Quote said "High points in my career are to give back to people that are coming into the industry".

Overall impact

The short-term effects of this partnership were acquiring exposure to the masses, which proved to be profitable and tremendously beneficial to Wine & Design. This act of selflessness by Donald and Applebee’s inspired many small business owners to try to make strategic partnerships and improve the scalability of their businesses overall. Wine & Design was able to obtain the exposure that they needed and have implemented growth strategies to their overall business structure. Long-term goals of these partnerships being made by Donald and Applebee’s are to inspire entrepreneurs, small business owners, and individuals to be inspired to grow in an economically feasible way. Business owners around the world seeing the benefits of strategic partnerships can lead to economic scalability.

Wine & Design achieved a 10% increase in revenue within its strategic partnership with Applebee’s, which has opened up many new doors for the company. From the Applebee’s gatherings that sponsor Wine & Design, there has been a 20% increase in employees being hired to keep up with the demand for these gatherings in Applebee’s locations, and other specified locations. Wine & Design has also acquired repeating customers due to the exhilarating experience that they were able to be a part of from the Applebee’s sponsored gathering. New investment opportunities were given due to the substantial increase in revenue, and larger gatherings are possible due to overhead funding being readily available from the new business that has and is being acquired at this time. New businesses are learning from the creativity brought to the table by Wine & Design and various business owners have come to Donald to say that they are creating new ways to conduct business to increase productivity of their specified company.

This act of selflessness brought to be by Donald and the Applebee’s franchise has triggered an initiative that has entrepreneurs finding out what they can do to scale the business they have started, which can result in heightened job creation, and overall productivity within the market.
