Inspiration

Law enforcement was a stressful career for Demetra Charidemou. The job required long hours and many late nights. It was 2018 when Charidemou decided to pursue a career in skincare. She could foresee that a career in skincare would be “something much more relaxing, and give her a break from the norm.” Since she was passionate about lasering she decided to start her endeavor in this area. As the owner of BodyElementz, she promotes the mission of helping women to feel beautiful in their natural state. “There is no need for Botox and Fillers when the earth offers simple ingredients that can restore the mind, body, and soul," she shared. Performing skincare treatments is relaxing for Charidemou; therefore, she desires for her clients to feel relaxed during and after receiving the treatments. The stresses of daily life are draining for many women, from the stay at home moms to working women. Even college students struggle to feel at peace in this world. Charidemou believes that servicing the Well-Being SDG through skincare is a great way to reduce stress in women.

The leader of BodyElementz hopes to inspire women to love themselves and realize that they do not need much to feel beautiful. Charidemou shows her customers that they are in great hands by explaining the treatments to them prior to the procedure. The vitamin-skin infusions refer to Vitamin IV Therapy that nourishes the body from the inside out, allowing clients to receive a holistic treatment that caters to the internal organs as well as the skin.

Another long-term goal would be to use the clinic space to perform fundraising efforts for children. BodyElementz would like to host events where the donations would be donated to a local charity. For example, the clinic would offer $60 laser treatments and donate $20 of each treatment given to a local charity. Charidemou is still looking for more ways to give back to her community.
