Stormie Poodle focuses on the reuse of material from laundry companies. As soon as the standard of the textiles has dropped, because of a hole in it or a stain, for example the material is not usually deemed waste. Before the textiles get discarded Stormie Poodle picks usable material out so they can produce bathrobes for children, towels, and bibs.
Stormie Poodle is reduces waste by reusing textiles. Additionally, because the repurposed fabrics Stormie Poodle uses have been washed repeatedly, they are free of harmful substances such as those used as pesticides in cotton farming. Furthermore the company is partnered with NGOs that help immigrants find gainful employment. Stormie Poodle not only found an opportunity to create a closed loop product cycle by reusing textiles, but they also solved the problem of garments that are harmful to children's skin, since, as previously mentioned, harmful chemicals have been washed out of the fabric over time. Another project Stormie Poodle has launched is reusing linen to produce nightshirts for the hotel industry.
Carolina von Post described her inspiration as such: "I grew up in Asia in a mountain rich environment where I also came across with the poorest side of society. The connection to nature and those people awoke the passion for justice, human well-being, and the environment".

"Becoming a mother of three children made me aware of the quality of clothes and other textiles people are confronted nowadays. After the use of hand-me-downs cloths from friends' older kids, I could see that after the clothes have been washed out, they contained no chemicals in it and were much softer for children's skin. This is the first time where I thought about making new clothes out of used ones".
Stormie Poodle extends the lifecycle of fabrics by upcycling material that would otherwise go to waste. Hotels distinguish their service when they use use Stormie Poodle nightshirts made from the hotel's former duvet cover in the traditional Swedish design for the customers to wear. By hanging out the robes and telling their story the hotel adds another special design and tells a unique story.
Customers who seek out Stormie Poodle bathrobes want to buy a product which is high quality and skin friendly for their children. These days most clothing's are made out of synthetic fiber and harsh to children's sensitive skin. By buying a bathrobe made out of recycled Comforta textile the customers purchase a product which has already been washed repeatedly contains fewer chemicals then new clothing. The customer also gets a material which is standardized and fits in premium quality for hotels. By purchasing one of the bathrobes, the customer also purchases the feeling that they have done something good because the clothes are less water and pollution intensive as well as being otherwise ethically produced.
By working with Yalla Trappan and Livslust, organizations which work with immigrant women who would be otherwise without an income, Stormie Poodle fights against poverty.
Stormie Poodle uses textiles which otherwise would be shredded and thrown away and upcycles them into new items. The textiles are provided with the eco-label Nordic Swan which has extremely high requirements. They have also been washed such that almost every chemical is rinsed out.
