The Director of the company has experience of a business dealing with Asset and DNA cloning kit. They are also providing these kits to all the Research Institute in and around Nagpur city, namely National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) Nagpur. NEERI had developed a gravity based technology however, there were some lacunas in the this technology. There were some choking issues after 3-4 years of installation and odour issues. To overcome this problem the organization partnered with one Japanese company Biocon and one Slovenia based company. They have developed the bio additive products.

These product are certified by the European Union as an organic product. Go Green Solutions collaborated with these two companies to overcome the problem of choking and odour. It is combining various technologies to overcome all issues and function efficiently. The first technology is the gravity based technology of National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) Nagpur, the second technology being the Biodigester technology of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) along with the Japanese Biocon and the European companies. Combining all these, Go Green Solutions has developed their own models overcome all this issues by experience.

Inspiration

The Director of the company has been in terms and hence is usually connected with all the research fellows and scientists of the Research Institute, NEERI, which specifically work in the field of environment. NEERI developed a gravity-based technology of biological sewage treatment in 2005. At that time, no one was ready to commercialize it. The Director took the initiative to commercialize and bring this technology to the market, where he worked with NEERI for more than five years for that technology.

The biggest motivating factor was that the Bio Sewage treatment plants worked on gravity, and it was an environment-friendly technology. By that time, there was no such technology available. All the technologies were either mechanical or electrical based. Further the operation and maintenance of these Sewage treatment plants are very high. ranging between 15 to 20% of the project cost. As per CPCB report i.e., the Central Pollution Control Board report more than 80% of the STP's are not working because of operation and maintenance. The Government grants funds for the installation of STP, but the Municipal council, Municipal Corporations and even individual housing, colonies and societies, they can't afford or fail in operation and maintenance. To overcome this problem and to promote gravity technology as an environmentally friendly green technology, Go Green solutions started working on the Bio Toilets and Bio Sewage Treatment Plants and have been continuing to do so.

Overall impact

Go Green Solutions is actively working towards United Nations SDG 6 Clean water and sanitation to in turn build sustainable cities and communities thus also helping UN SDG 11. These biological products are made accessible to everyone in the community since they help to stop the spread of diseases from one person to another.

In addition to raising the standard of living for those who live in underdeveloped areas, this is also allowing them to go about their daily business without fear of contracting an illness due to sanitation issues. Access to clean water and sanitary facilities can aid in economic growth since healthier persons create healthier communities.

Social and environmental benefit

In India, millions of people lack access to bathrooms. Due to a lack of sanitation facilities, a substantial population in rural areas resort to open defecation. Due to the potential health dangers that have resulted, hundreds of thousands of people die each year from dangerous illnesses such as diarrhoea, typhoid, and dysentery. Bio toilets are a great gift to overcome these issues while also supporting water conservation. It is extremely hygienic and low in cost. Bio toilets can be installed in any type of place used at slum areas, schools, tourist destinations, construction sites, and other facilities. Among few of the large-scale projects, Bio Toilets have been installed in Hindalco, Cipla and in Konkan Railways.

Sewage treatment facilities are one of the best ways to dispose of household garbage. The system's cleaned water may be poured directly into nearby streams or ditches without threatening wildlife because they are so effective at digesting waste.
