Being a carbon-neutral company means the following: all emissions generated in the manufacturing process are accounted for and offset, including those originating from raw material extraction, transportation, use, and disposal by consumer part.
The "More recycling with Nature" and "More beauty less waste" programs are designed to mobilize the recycling of Natura products. For this reason, Natura wants to be part of a movement that changes the future of waste. In this way, a mobilization program for recycling has been created in collaboration with ecolana, which created the first digital map for recycling in Mexico. With the program that Natura has created, the aim is for Natura Consultants and Leaders to be recycling ambassadors. All Natura Consultants and/or Leaders generate a positive impact on the environment since they contribute to the reduction of waste generation and CO2 emissions. In addition, the Consultant or Natura Leader who recycles the most waste will receive a special prize.
Natura committed to guaranteeing that all its packaging can be reused, recycled, or composted by 2025. For this reason, it signed, in 2018, the Global Commitment for a New Plastic Economy, which is committed to eradicating waste and plastic pollution. To fulfill this commitment, Paola Nimo, Sustainability Manager, says that Natura uses 100% recycled and green plastic packaging (made from sugar cane), such as the Tododia line, a renewable raw material that has less impact on the emission of greenhouse gases. greenhouse and avoiding the emission of more than 5 thousand tons of carbon per year.
More than 30 years ago, Natura introduced refillable containers for sale, that is, the refill.
