Innovation

Team Blondes innovation is encompassing three different businesses under one eco-friendly roof. Team blonde offers both products and services that use eco-friendly and animal cruelty free techniques. This boutique is one of a kind due to its love for animals. Not only do they have their own furry friend running around the store, but they also allow all customers to bring there dogs inside the boutique. They have free dog treats at the check out counter and a play area for their animals to wait while their owners get pampered in the spa. Products sold in the retail space of the store is vegan, which means the fabrics are organic and don not use synthetic fibers that can cause harm to the environment. Their salon and spa products are animal- cruelty-free and organic as well.

Inspiration

Team Blondes inspiration was their love for animals, especially dogs. The owners Heidi and Jayne have their own dog, Cooper, who helps them tend the store. According to them "he is apart of the family and helps them great customers which is an essential part of their customer service." Their love for animals extends further than just dogs that is why they make sure all products in store are not tested or harmful to animals. This relates back to their goal of responsible production.

Overall impact

Short term effects of their innovation is to supply animal cruelty free cosmetic products to animal lovers, in a animal welcoming environment. Also to set a precedent for others that organic and vegan based clothing lines can be stylish. Some long term effects are alleviating textile landfill waste, by using organic fabrics. As well as, alleviating plastic waste, by using recyclable packaging.

Business benefit

Team Blonde innovation have benefited the business overall. Not only have they gained a competitive advantaged against other boutiques, but they have also seen an increase in sales. The more they promote how Eco friendly they are the more they see foot traffic coming into their store. They have also developed a loyal customer base, these customers tend to be Eco-conscious consumers.

Social and environmental benefit

Team Blondes innovations have benefited society in various ways. One being they help alleviate landfill waste. They do this by not wasting paper. They use both side of printer paper in order to be less wasteful. They also use recyclable packaging instead of plastic. Even the design of their boutique is Eco-friendly. They used salvaged and reused construction materials for their designs. Cabinets, walls, and flooring are all made up of recycled bamboo. They also show efforts of conserving energy by using special lighting bulbs that uses 50% less energy than a regular bulb.
