Electricity Generated Using Palm Oil Waste to the Benefit of Local Communities

Energy cost savings and Green House Gas (GHG) reduction are the two main issues that are becoming increasingly important to business in a wide variety of sectors, including palm oil industry. PT Ecody Agro Energy design and construct biogas plants to process waste generated from milling process called Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME). Using methane capture technology, methane gas is used, replacing fossil fuel, as an alternative fuel to diesel, generating electricity for the mills and local electricity grid.
