Summary

Sofyan Corp, mainly focus on business hotel under Sofyan Hotel brand. At the beginning, Sofyan Hotel did its business as conventional hotel. But since 1992, Sofyan Hotel decided to operate in new concept as Syariah hotel. Syariah means, in doing its business, Sofyan Hotel standardize its services according to Islamic value called halal.

Since then, there was no more bar in the hotel. The hotel also has halal certification by Indonesian Ulama Council for its food, drink and restaurants.

The hotel also provide enough water for cleaning purpose at the toilet, easier way to take wudhu before pray. The hotel also provide big mushola and equip each room with praying direction (kiblat), Al Quran and Sajadah. Through this effort, Sofyan Hotel won award as World’s Best Family Friendly Hotel in The World Halal Travel Awards 2015 in Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, Uni Emirat Arab (UEA).

To increase the quality of hotel hospitality, Sofyan Corp established Sofyan Institute to provide training to its employees.

Sofyan Institute help to increase their communities' wealth by Empowering them through Educational Program. It encourage Sofyan Corp's employees to join the educational program held by Sofyan Institute.

Through Sofyan Institute, Sofyan Corp had done some innovations :

  • ensure the quality of Sofyan Corp's employees on education, especially on hospitality regarding to its hotel business
  • share their experience in halal hotel hospitality
  • empowering its employees to have greater education

Sofyan Institute get its revenue from its regular training. Then Sofyan Institute use it to provide scholarship its employees or to help its employees by providing syariah loan to them.
